Eptec is a specialist engineering contractor in asset preservation and rehabilitation. It delivers asset life extension of complex operational assets through a range of solutions for corrosion protection, concrete rehabilitation, fibre reinforced plastics, waterproofing and linings, and insulation.

Eptec operates across a range of sectors, including naval defence & marine, transport & infrastructure and water.

Alceon acquired the business in December 2017 from the original founders, after identifying opportunities in the asset protection & asset life extension sector. The original investment was structured as a management buyout, and Alceon partnered with the incumbent management team, led by CEO Joe Viglione, to acquire the business.

Under Alceon’s ownership, Eptec materially grew revenue and profits. Alceon successfully exited its investment in Eptec through a secondary sale to a PE consortium.
